This past weekend, I had gone to Anthro New England! This is my local con and I've been going since its inception in 2015 (can't believe it's been around for 10 years now, I feel old haha). Normally, I would split a hotel room with my partner or friends, but this year my partner and I decided to just commute from their house since it was a quick uber ride away. We also would normally go all weekend, but I had work and prior commitments so I could only go on Saturday and Sunday. Honestly, I think this was the best for me, personally. Kept things very lowkey and low stress!

We showed up at 10 AM s I could register for the weekend. I went with a name that was basically an inside joke with friends.

Also found this fun flyer for a panel I had wished I caught.

One of my favorite thing about walking around on Saturday was that this con has designated "jam zones" throughout the hotel where people would set up instruments. At one point, the DJ Goji was spinning, but the only photo I got of a jam zone was this trio.

Saturday was also the day I mainly walked around the dealers den. One of the charities had a booth set up with live animals and they were very cute! The albino skunk was my favorite :3

Outside of seeing old friends and wandering the hotel, the only thing I had planned for the day was going to the pool to hang out and play around with the inflatables! There was a very large amount of positivity in the room and I think everyone who went had a really fun time. Was also funny seeing a hotel employee come in to clean and just....stared at everyone haha.

The last thing I did on saturday was check out some of the rave! To my surprise, they had booked Ricco Harver! Set was great and I hop i can see them spin again in the future!

On the way out of the hotel for the night, I ran into my friend Hearth who had their puppet, Wigglefox. Was so glad i got to say hi and snag a quick pic :3

Sunday was also fairly chill! That day was mainly comprised of running a wrestling panel with my partner and going to the dead dog dance to see my friend spin some really sick techno! It was the highlight for sure and also makes me want to start djing again (i'm digging through the internet for tunes as I type this). The vibe for the room was immaculate, with distorted VHS images thrown all over the wall in a really dark room. Honestly a 10/10 expierience.

Shortly after the dead dog dance, it was time to head home. There was a snowstorm outside and made the streets near home look really beautiful.
Can't wait for next year!

Finally setting this page up! I've been having a really fun time looking through other websites for inspo for a journal page. I was going to attempt to try and make this page look different than everything else but I guess it's just going to look like this for a bit until I sit down and figure out more html stuff. So for now w're formatting the journal like this!

I've been mainly working on the site after midnight when I get home and after hanging out with my roommate, and it's been a blast doing this as my cool down for the day. I feel like i've been learning alot with my repetition of everything. Alot of learning for me is basically just googling "how do I x?", which seems like it does nothing but for me it just feels like I'm doing it over and over and over, which helps me remember what I'm doing and helps me learn over time.

My next steps is starting my art page. The plan currently is to put sections for my sketchbook, digital art, and occassional photography. I'll probably post photos in here as well for things. This weekend I'm attending Anthro New England again so I'll probably write about it here and show waht I get up to!

Making a website feels so cool, idk. So glad I'm doing this :3 ▓▒░(。>ω<。)░▒▓
